CyncHealth Awarded CDC Contract to Help Address Overdose Death & Injuries

February 1, 2024

CyncHealth is excited to announce it was awarded a renewable-based-on-yearly performance five-year contract through the Centers for Disease Control Overdose Data to Action for States grant. This grant was awarded to the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services to enhance functionality and increase access to Nebraska’s Prescription Drug Monitoring Program (PDMP).

As the administrator of Nebraska’s PDMP, CyncHealth makes medication reconciliation easy by providing quick insight to aid clinicians in prescribing and dispensing decisions. The platform helps reduce medication errors such as omissions, duplications, dosing errors, and drug interactions.

“The OD2A funds will help states and communities respond more quickly, effectively, and equitably to prevent overdose death and injury,” says the CDC.

The Nebraska DHHS was one of 49 states to receive the grant from the CDC, the second five-year allotment they’ve received. The DHHS said it will receive $12.4 million over the same time frame.
